Capital Engineering Manager

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Manage a staff of project engineers located at plants throughout the US to drive growth, productivity, EHS, and renewal capital investments. Responsible for value/opportunity identification, project execution, plant operating committee leadership, and support of annual capital planning. Develop and maintain the technical competency and project management skills of the group. Provide leadership to 3M Engineering through engineering sponsored committees and technical organizations. Develop and implement facility and equipment renewal plans in partnership with external and internal partners. Provide leadership, development, and coaching to execute projects on time (rapid execution), within budget (cost effective solutions), and with predictable spend accuracy. This role executes strategic and operational plans for the engineering group and supports execution of similar plans for their assigned production plants.

Implementing new technologies throughout 3M

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Ten (10) years of Capital Project Execution in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, valid Driver’s License.
Current, valid Passport

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Masters degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of Capital Engineering Leadership in a private, public, government or military environment
Skills include: Communication, Planning, Leadership, Strategy, Prioritization, Project Execution

Work location:

Primarily Resides in Cynthiana, KY or Clinton, TN (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Clinton, TN, Cynthiana, KY, Tonawanda, NY, Old Hickory, TN, Juarex, MX or Maplewood at least [3] days per month)

Travel: May include up to 25% - domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
