The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Coating/Curing Manufacturing Technology Engineering Specialist within 3M’s Manufacturing Technology Organization, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Leading cross-functional projects to develop and deploy adhesive curing technology solutions to 3M global manufacturing locations
Supporting the development, design, and deployment of 3M curing and drying technologies
Identify, prioritize, and lead technical activities in the areas of Safety, Productivity, and Yield in our 3M manufacturing locations
Support or lead process development efforts with ESC teams in the NPI process to ensure successful development, scale-up, and launch of new products
Participate in the development and execution of Coating/Curing technology platform strategic plans
Support technologies enabling a transition towards solventless adhesive products
Willingness to maintain flexible hours to support global manufacturing

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
Seven (7) years of manufacturing process experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Two (2) years of experience designing and integrating electronic and mechanical components into a manufacturing process

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university. Namely Mechanical, Electrical or Physics focused.
Expertise and familiarization with radiation curing processes and materials in manufacturing operations.
Experience with fluid mechanics and thermodynamics fundamentals applied to manufacturing
Experience working with coating process fundamentals and their application in manufacturing
Strong leadership, project management and influencing skills

Work location: Maplewood, MN; Hybrid Eligible

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $141,150 - $172,517, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
