Hardware & Telecommunications IT Procurement Manager

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Hardware & Telecom IT Procurement Manager- you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Leading teams to manage external suppliers to deliver improved benefits to 3M
Implementing cost reduction, cash improvement opportunities, supply risk management, and sourcing initiatives and tools
Driving/ensuring the integration of Procurements business processes for assigned commodities or business into the client’s business requirements, including acquisitions/ divestitures
Providing sourcing advice and consulting with leadership team to set strategic direction for assigned categories
Act as the Procurement lead for Category

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Seven (7) years of IT contract negotiation experience in a private, public, government or military environment
One (1) year of familiarity with hardware and telecommunications industry knowledge and contracting
One (1) year of relevant experience in drafting, negotiating, project manage and executing contractual documents including but not limited to MSA, SOW, Schedules and POs
One (1) year of MS Office suite experience
One (1) year of SAP experience
One (1) year of experience with facilitating large complex RFPs
One (1) year of experience of leading cross functional/business unit teams

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Masters degree in Business or Technology discipline
Experience managing complex Indirect or Direct categories
10 years of IT Hardware, Software, or IT Services experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Skills include ability to negotiate highly complex technology contracts, ability to communicate, persuade and counsel on an expert level

Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
