Job Title: Network Admin Senior
Location: 2800 Powder Mill Rd Adelphi, Maryland 20873
Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret

Required Certification(s): 
• CompTIA Security+CE
• Cisco CCNA within 6 months

• Top Secret Clearance preferred (Classified & Unclassified work)

SUMMARY
At the direction of Program Leadership, provide network administration and operational support for network infrastructure.  Recommend solutions for new equipment, software, network configuration, design, and management to include the detail, specification, hardware components, and part numbers.  Provide technical support for the operations of a fiber optic and twisted pair-based network infrastructure
 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance of the Network
• Expansion, Modification, Integration and Redundancy of the Network
• Diagnostics and Testing of Network using software/hardware tool suites
• Firewall policy Management
• HAIPE Inline Network Encryption (Taclane) management
• Traffic Analysis: NetFlow, SNMPv3 traps, syslog, wireshark, etc. 
• Network problem Analysis, diagnosis and resolution
• Assist with security Audits

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications
• CompTIA Security+CE
• Cisco CCNA within 6 months
• Top Secret Clearance preferred (Classified & Unclassified work)

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in related field
• Install, configure, and maintain L2 and L3 switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Knowledge of VLANS, layer 2 switching, LAN Management, and Ports, protocols & services
• Fabricate, test, and install Ethernet cables
• Fortigate, Juniper, Palo Alto, and/or Cisco Firewalls. Fortigate Firewall experience preferred.  
• Familiarity with DISA STIG
• Network monitoring applications e.g. Solarwinds
• Strong background with Cisco ISE, RADIUS servers, and 802.1x
• Familiarity with VoIP
• COMSEC accounting or handling policies training

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills
• Cisco ISE, RADIUS servers, and 802.1x
• Strong experience with SolarWinds
• Strong self-starter attitude, team oriented and good communication skills are a must.
• Familiar with RMF, STIGs and compliance

Preferred Skills
• Experience with DoD (Army) networks
• SQL experience
• Windows Server experience
• Unix/Linux experience
• PERL Scripting 

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions

• Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
• Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.  Some occasional walking or standing may be required.   Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
