The Community you will join:
The Cities team is a cross-functional product team that supports guests, hosts, and local governments to ensure successful global compliance with local regulations while scalably supporting company growth.
The difference you will make:
In this role you will create and scale the regulatory strategy, operational processes, and programs for hosts who offer services and experiences. This role will work with various cross-functional teams including, Product, Legal, Engineering, and Policy to reach alignment on implementation.
You will be responsible for driving the delivery of centrally run strategic programs, while also defining and executing localized strategies that play a key role in accelerating Airbnbs growth and retention efforts. You should be comfortable developing operational programs and processes, have experience navigating complex regulatory environments, and possess a keen eye for quality/detail that inspires the teams and individuals you work with to exceed expectations.
A typical day:
- Lead a cross-functional team of operators responsible for executing processes that address regulatory requirements.
- Own the development and execution of regulatory strategies and SOPs that drive the strategic evolution of how we evaluate, track, and decide on offerings to provide.
- Develop the key metrics, tooling, and infrastructure necessary to support impactful processes.
- Monitor regulatory trends to proactively address potential impacts and/or growth opportunities.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and develop key insights for executive-level presentations to drive critical business decisions.
- Identify regulatory challenges, gaps in processes, and drive timely resolution.
- Travel to the San Francisco office, as required.
Your expertise:
- 10+ years of experience in regulatory operations; management consulting, project management, or related fields.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced and complex regulatory environment.
- Experience building scalable technical solutions and processes to mitigate regulatory risks.
- Experience designing and operationalizing regulatory workflows.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory information as applicable and required for varied audiences.
- Comfortable and skilled at regularly interfacing with, influencing and being a thought partner to senior management.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of aligning cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Track record of working closely with senior leadership and acting as a thought partner to inform strategy and decision-making, yielding positive outcomes.
Your Location:
This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
