Airbus UpNext Spain has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to contribute to the evaluation of an innovative more electric architecture for aircraft non propulsive energy (NPE).
The Project Management Officer position is within the Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain.
It consists of a limited contrat of three-year long project.
Missions:
As a Project Manager Officer, you will be passionate and impatient about putting methods and processes in place to ease the team work and you are the type of person who thinks about “how things can be done” rather than “if they can be done”.
You will develop a project follow up which is flexible, and unencumbered by process and deal with a diverse team of performers, consisting of partners from industry and academia, start-ups and established leaders, existing Airbus talent and new recruits.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Being the project focal point for procurement and contract management.
Creating and maintaining project schedules for several work-packages
Leading Agile Project management activities
Coordinating several technical and non-technical teams to achieve the committed project milestones.
Implementing a robust risk management process to ensure all key risks are captured and mitigated
Tracking programme progress and provide reports and visibility of potential issues to allow for early mitigation and data-driven decisions
Working closely with the other Project Management Officer in the team to ensure all Project Management activities are successfully performed.

What you bring
Previous experience in Project Management of complex projects within the aerospace industry or other similar industries.
Previous experience in Procurement and contract negotiation & management
Educated to degree level in any Engineering discipline
First class influencing and presentation skills are required as this is a high visibility role
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Practical problem solving skills as well as autonomy and initiative will be expected
Negotiation level in English is required.
