Internship within Virtual Commissioning for Automation Systems in Aircraft Manufacturing (d/f/m)
Are you looking for an internship and want to get to know the work of Airbus? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Perception & Control department as an intern (d/f/m)!
Location: Hamburg
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: 3-6 months
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Masters student to contribute to an innovative project in aircraft manufacturing automation. This project focuses on developing and enhancing a Virtual Commissioning (VC) simulation system to test a complex automation setup used for drilling, countersinking, and riveting aircraft components. The goal is to advance the validation and testing processes of the automation system, ensuring its functionality and performance before deployment in production.
Hybrid Virtual Commissioning (Hybrid VC)
During the internship, the student will contribute to the development and integration of a hybrid virtual commissioning system, with a focus the following areas:
The primary tasks involve integrating a Virtual Commissioning (VC) simulation workbench with a real-world automation system. This includes establishing communication between real hardware and the virtual simulation environment, followed by extensive validation and testing.
The student will focus on connecting real hardware to the virtual VC setup, creating a hybrid system that combines both real and virtual robots. This hybrid approach will enable more comprehensive testing and validation of the automation system, ultimately improving the reliability of the simulation.
A subsequent contract for the preparation of a thesis can be offered.
