⭐ The People Ops role
Are you excited about building and scaling efficient HR operations in a fast-growing company? Join our vibrant People team at Alan as People Ops!
In this role, youll be at the heart of HR operations, working on 2 key areas:
People operations, notably in Belgium:
Ensure high accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in the execution of all Belgian HR operations (particularly personnel administration & payroll management)
Handle day-to-day requests from Alaners (sick leave, out-of-office management)
Enhance and scale current People ops processes (suggestions for automation) contributing to the overall growth and operational excellence of the Belgian team first, followed by the global team.
Develop & improve a deep understanding of our tooling environment (HRIS systems/payroll processes)
Individual situation management crew: Give one-by-one counseling on confidential matters to internal stakeholders (such as un-wellness, misbehaviors, underperformance, departures,… to name but a few examples), summarizing findings, and providing recommended solutions.
Youll work closely with two amazing mentors from our team, who will guide you through the intricacies of People Operations and help you grow in your role.
Were looking for someone passionate about operations, thrives on creating order, and gets excited about finding ways to make processes more efficient. If youre excited about automating processes and making things more efficient, youll love the challenges we have in store!
One of the major areas of development for the role, after 3 months of successful onboarding, is the management of individual situations, which requires tact, empathy and a good knowledge of the employment law framework. People ops staff joining our team will be gradually guided and trained in this area.
Is it what you are looking for?
You may be a great fit for this role if you have:
At least 2 years of professional experience in HR, with a focus on managing payroll processes and employee records
A strong understanding of Belgian labor laws (essential)
An eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
Natural inclination toward process improvement and documentation
Analytical mindset: proficient in analyzing HR data and deriving actionable insights for informed decision-making
The ability to work independently and make well-informed decisions
Fluency in English, both written and spoken. While Dutch, French and Spanish are a plus, its not essential
Level range
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the B0-C0 level range.
