⭐️ Help us build our Security Operations Center ⭐️

At Alan, were building the future of healthcare, and security is at the heart of everything we do. As we scale, were looking for a Security Operations specialist to join our Security team and work alongside our current SecOps teammate to help protect our members, partners, and systems.

In this role, youll contribute to scaling our Security Operations (SOC) workstream, focusing on proactive threat prevention and management. Youll be at the frontline of our security efforts, working on:

🛡️ Security Operations organisation

Scale our internal SOC by developing and improving processes, policies, and tooling
Build and optimize monitoring strategies to address critical risks in our cloud environment
Create and maintain security procedures to enhance team knowledge and foster autonomy and distributed ownership
Leverage threat intelligence and OSINT to proactively identify and mitigate risks

🚨 Security incidents & investigations

Lead security incident response from initial detection through containment and recovery
Conduct thorough technical investigations and root cause analyses to prevent future incidents
Drive continuous improvement through post-incident analysis and lessons learned

🤝 Security at Alan

Participate in key security team activities including ISO 27001 maintenance, security awareness programs, and company-wide security support
Share security best practices and knowledge with teams across the organization
Be an ambassador for security across Alan through clear communication and impactful metrics

⭐️ If you have some of the following, you may be a great fit ⭐️

Were looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in Security Operations.

🔧 Technical Expertise

Expertise with SIEM and other security tools (EDR/XDR, IDS, ...)
Strong knowledge of cloud security, particularly AWS security best practices
Proven expertise in at least one of: incident response, threat detection and hunting, and security event investigation
Bonus points for hands-on experience with threat intelligence and OSINT tools
Strong technical investigation and problem-solving skills
