The Systems Academy offers a 12 month year in industry placement for technology students where you will gain ‘on the job’ experience, develop new skills and contribute to the growth of the company. The year long placement offers exposure across key elements of the Systems area of the business. Providing you with hands on experience across Dynamics CRM 365, testing, troubleshooting, UAT and test driven development!
 
You’ll receive full training through our comprehensive onboarding programme and will be set up for success to really understand our products and the customers we serve.

What that means day to day

Joining the Systems team at Alcumus, you’ll primarily work within the Systems Configuration team who are responsible for configuring and customising Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM applications. There may be an opportunity to work with the Dynamics Development team, depending on your technical capability, and this team are responsible for the design, development and testing of Dynamics 365 CRM components.

The experience you’ll gain will include: 

  • Attending discovery and requirements workshops and supporting the implementation of Dynamics CRM/365 projects 
  • Developing and testing Dynamics CRM 365 customisations, with the opportunity to configure and customise D365 applications using technologies like C#, JavaScript and PowerAutomate. 
  • Working with specialists across the business including Business Analysts and Project Managers to implement system enhancements and upgrades 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues 
  • UAT, regression testing and test driven development

The role will be working on a hybrid basis, with 3 days per week in our Cardiff office and the further 2 days, working from home.
