We’re looking for problem solvers, innovators, and dreamers who are searching for anything but business as usual. Like us, you’re a high performer who’s an expert at your craft, constantly challenging the status quo. You value inclusivity and want to join a culture that empowers you to show up as your authentic self. You know that success hinges on commitment, that our differences make us stronger, and that the finish line is always sweeter when the whole team crosses together.

Alteryx is a leading provider of self-service analytics. We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Consultant to join our team. As Resident Consultant, you will be embedded within a client’s organization, serving as their primary point of contact for our software solutions. You will work closely with client teams to understand their needs, provide expert guidance, and ensure the successful implementation and optimization of our software products.

Alteryx Resident Consultant provide both highly technical and business-oriented, strategic advice to clients.  You will develop a reputation as both an Analytics expert and a trusted advisor to your assigned customer. You will be helping your customers by implementing, upgrading, migrating, teaching, and optimizing workflows and platform configurations. The position also requires considerable flexibility, with some customers expecting a “white glove” treatment, while others prefer having a coach or mentor.  Our Resident Consultants are expected to handle these situations and adapt to the style of the client.  Our customers know that you are a subject matter expert, and you know how to get things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Establish yourself with clients as a trusted advisor and thought-leader on all Alteryx-related questions. Interact remotely, via phone, email and web meetings with customers in a professional, confident manner, while supporting in person meetings as necessary (about 15% of the position will require travel).
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources. Ensure that all milestones are met and that the project is delivered on time and within scope. Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and any issues or risks. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Implementation: Deliver standard, customized and/or strategic services outlining the functional capabilities, competitive advantages, and business benefits of the Alteryx solutions as they apply to customer needs. Participate in product and solution training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge of core components of Alteryx offerings and assigned solution areas, how each solution addresses business challenges, competitive information to identify how our solution stands apart, and what challenges/limitations may be encountered.
  • Training and Support: Build deep technical enablement and training materials for your customer to understand the latest features, how they work, their value, and customer integration.  Work proactively across Alteryx and engage company resources as needed to strategize on opportunities for cross-training and knowledge transfer within your customer.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather client feedback and work with our internal teams to enhance our software solutions and consulting processes. Share best practices and lessons learned to contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • College degree, 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role including technical support, customer success, presales, or consulting.
  • Superior problem solving, organizational, decision-making written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
