5+ years Project Management / Engagement Management experience managing enterprise-level IT projects, responsible for delivering results.
- 2+ years of stakeholder management experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Agile and implementation of project management tool sets (Confluence, Jira, RallyDev, VersionOne, Taiga, etc.) and source code management products.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above

- AWS experience and certifications preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
- Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices
- Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework
- Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers

Ability to represent AWS within the customers environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation. Has presented to C-level executives as well as technical subject matter experts.
- Understands the value proposition of the public cloud and has delivered cloud engagements (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Shareable experience managing projects with 10+ resources, 6+ months, or $250k+ in contract value. Demonstrated ability to understand operating styles, team/client relationships, and adapt behavior accordingly. 3+ years with software development life cycle (SDLC) and implementing project management best practices across large, complex projects.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,200/year in our highest geographic market. The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to join our team and lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating technical discussions and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.
