Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the Merchant network of American Express that acquires and maintains relationships with Merchants who welcome American Express branded cards & B2B payment solutions. Our objective is to be an indispensable payments partner to our customers while simultaneously delivering differentiated products and services that meet or exceed customer needs. Our goal is to drive revenue growth and premium economics for both Merchants and American Express.

The B2B- Product, Partnerships, & Client Management (BPPC) organization within Merchant Services – U.S. is responsible for scaling supplier revenue, increasing acceptance through partnerships and new supplier solutions, and incorporating the voice of the supplier into our buyer-led, supply chain, and AP Automation solutions. 

The Senior Manager, B2B Go-To-Market Strategy & Business Development, will report to the Director of the B2B Supplier Value Go-To-Market Team, and will be responsible for playing a critical role in driving the growth and adoption of our B2B payment solutions with our GMNS field teams. The Senior Manager will effectively utilize data to create meaningful insights to support prioritization of our product suite, while also helping to inform Senior Leaders decision making. The role will involve collaborating with multiple teams, managing stakeholders independently and driving results through effective project management.

 

The Senior Manager, will be responsible for:

  • Developing a centralized targeting approach working with Analytics and Finance to identify and trigger right opportunities for new B2B solutions – across both proactive retention based and new revenue opportunities. 
  • Proactively consult with Client Management to develop strategies, measurement and analysis methodologies and applications to evaluate the effectiveness of new strategies and tactics to address key business needs.
  • Track and analyze GTM performance through pipeline monitoring and progression, providing insights and recommendations to enhance execution of our B2B strategies
  • Monitor and track field performance (e.g., ACV, HVI) for the BPPC organization, and provide insights to senior leadership to help support decision making 
  • Develop visual dashboards using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau to further present data in clear and compelling manner
  • Work closely with senior leadership to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery and meeting business objectives.

 Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of corporate experience with focus on data analysis, reporting and insights generation.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent project management skills
  • Ability to think strategically and bold, work independently and challenge the status quo
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights 
  • Strong knowledge of tools such as Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint for building dashboards, reports, and effective presentation decks to senior leadership. Independently create presentation ready PowerPoint documents
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills with customer centric focused.
  • Prior experience working with Field and Sales teams to drive commercial enablement and sales effectiveness is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency presenting to executive audiences 
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to navigate a complex stakeholder map and influence others
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
