American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) team enables businesses globally to pay for and finance what they need to grow their businesses. GCS provides a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. 
 
As our customers are changing the way they work and pay, we have been evolving with them by developing B2B partner-embedded and automated payment solutions so that we are seamlessly coordinated into customer ecosystem. The B2B Solutions team is focused on building a new business model, key partnerships, value propositions, and go-to-market plans that will address all customer segments, from Small businesses to Large and Global clients, to create new opportunities for us to capture B2B spend through these ecosystem partners, such as AP Automation partners, Accounting and ERP software providers, as well as procurement platforms & networks. This business has doubled in customers and volume over the last few years and requires focused attention on customer experience management and overall roadmap prioritization and planning. 

Reporting to the VP & GM, B2B Solutions, the Senior Manager of Business Strategy, Execution and Planning will support the day-to-day management and operations of the team while also providing analytical, strategic, and thought leadership for key projects & initiatives. The ideal candidate would be a strong problem solver, who possesses the confidence and composure to successfully manage a wide range of initiatives, while working and collaborating efficiently across multiple teams within GCS. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in building impactful and comprehensive presentations for key business reviews with senior management, business partners, team meetings and town halls
  • Provide planning and coordination support, including involvement in project management, analytics, and critical initiatives, as required
  • Support the management of business planning and operations (e.g., annual budget and investment planning, monthly budget accruals, forecast and team reviews, operating expense & ACU management, etc.)
  • Support the creation of external and internal organizational communications throughout multiple channels including memos, announcements, Town Halls, etc.
  • Build strong working relationships across the team, as well as with business partner groups to ensure good collaboration, efficient problem solving and creative solutioning for delivering on results

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated and action-oriented with the proven ability to react and adapt in real time to balance multiple priorities while remaining flexible and calm
  • Strategic & analytical problem solver with demonstrated quantitative skill
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Motivated self-starter who is interested in gaining exposure to a broad set of functions across the Commercial Business
  • Strong professional presence and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate, influence, and be a standout colleague
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with the highest levels of integrity 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the GCS business and/or B2B business environment

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
