Clojure Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Lead
We are committed to our future growth and building a global team. Today were looking for a Clojure Engineer to join us in our Oslo office. ## LI-Hybrid
You will focus on developing products and features in Ardoq as part of a larger team. You will also collaborate with all other Clojure engineers to improve our codebase.
On a typical day, you will:
- Work as part of a product team and occasionally collaborate with other teams to maintain the product
- Engage with customers and colleagues to understand the problems being solved and explore potential solutions
- Handle engineering issues related to user experience, design choices, and customer feedback
- Optimise database queries to ensure efficient data handling and improve the quality of the codebase as it develops
- Use logging and monitoring tools to track application performance and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain the backend codebase using Clojure, ensuring the code is maintainable and testable
We imagine you will bring:
- 3+ years of experience working on web applications and developing software as part of a team
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on code quality
- An understanding of graphs as a data structure, and knowledge of performance considerations
- Familiarity with SQL and some experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and debugging techniques
- Proficiency in Clojure is great but not required. Whats necessary is an understanding of functional programming and interest in learning and working with Clojure.
