Clojure Engineer

Reports to: Engineering Lead

We are committed to our future growth and building a global team. Today were looking for a Clojure Engineer to join us in our Oslo office. ## LI-Hybrid

You will focus on developing products and features in Ardoq as part of a larger team. You will also collaborate with all other Clojure engineers to improve our codebase.

On a typical day, you will:

Work as part of a product team and occasionally collaborate with other teams to maintain the product
Engage with customers and colleagues to understand the problems being solved and explore potential solutions
Handle engineering issues related to user experience, design choices, and customer feedback
Optimise database queries to ensure efficient data handling and improve the quality of the codebase as it develops
Use logging and monitoring tools to track application performance and troubleshoot issues
Maintain the backend codebase using Clojure, ensuring the code is maintainable and testable

We imagine you will bring:

3+ years of experience working on web applications and developing software as part of a team
A collaborative mindset with a focus on code quality
An understanding of graphs as a data structure, and knowledge of performance considerations
Familiarity with SQL and some experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and debugging techniques
Proficiency in Clojure is great but not required. Whats necessary is an understanding of functional programming and interest in learning and working with Clojure.
