  • Ensure all marketing materials, content, and communications comply with federal regulations and cybersecurity frameworks like CMMC and FedRAMP.
  • Spearhead marketing efforts for federal events, conferences, and webinars, positioning the company as a thought leader in the U.S. federal cybersecurity market.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a remote marketing team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and overseeing day-to-day execution of campaigns.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, legal, compliance, and customer success to ensure marketing strategies align with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key government stakeholders, contractors, partners, and industry influencers to increase brand visibility and credibility.

Data-Driven Optimization

  • Utilize data and analytics to continuously optimize marketing campaigns, ensuring that federal-focused initiatives deliver high ROI and support pipeline growth.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing investments, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet federal sector goals.
  • Leverage A/B testing, segmentation, and customer journey analysis to refine and improve marketing strategies, ensuring campaigns are effective in driving conversions.

Marketing Communications and Content Strategy

  • Lead the creation of targeted marketing content, including case studies, white papers, thought leadership articles, and other assets tailored to the federal sector’s cybersecurity needs.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all marketing channels, while adapting content to the unique requirements and challenges of government and defense customers.

Performance Reporting

  • Provide detailed reports and actionable insights to executive leadership on marketing activities, performance, and results.
  • Communicate successes, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership to ensure alignment with broader corporate objectives.

What We Expect:

  • 10+ years of experience in senior-level marketing roles within the cybersecurity, enterprise software, or federal contracting sectors, with a focus on the U.S. government.
  • Proven expertise in demand generation, pipeline creation, and federal sector marketing, with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity solutions for government, defense, and public sector customers.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. government procurement processes, including federal contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedule, IDIQ, BPA), and familiarity with regulations governing cybersecurity in the federal space (e.g., NIST, CMMC, FISMA).
  • Hands-on experience in developing integrated marketing campaigns, from digital marketing to in-person events, specifically targeting federal agencies and government contractors.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and other digital marketing tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to measure, analyze, and report on campaign performance, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Proven leadership abilities to inspire and manage cross-functional teams, including remote teams, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A proactive, results-oriented leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP) and government cybersecurity compliance requirements.
