POSITION: Professional-System Engineer

LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St., Dallas, TX 75202 (& various unanticipated locations throughout the US; may work from home)

DUTIES: AT&T Services, Inc., is seeking a Professional-System Engineer in Dallas, TX (& various unanticipated locations throughout the US; may work from home) to design, develop, document, and analyze overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinate design and integration of total system including subsystems. Research and recommend technology to modernize current systems. Support technical initiatives normally as part of a larger project. Work on development of new technologies or maintenance of existing technology. Exchange complex technical information and provide training and guidance to others in work area by breaking down information in a systematic and logical manner. Deliver cross organizational capacity optimization spanning analysis, reporting, engineering, automation, and delivery. Support VMware vRealize Operations (vROps)/Aria and manage Virtual Machine dynamic scaling. Model capacity data to engineer and support cloud optimization solution across multiple Data Centers. Perform system engineering and support for  CloudStack. Grow Cloud Optimization framework to optimize existing cloud infrastructure and improve performance. Utilize Azure DevOps, JIRA, CloudStack and VMware. Utilize Cloud Optimization, Software Development Lifecycle, and Business Process Improvement.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation utilizing Azure DevOps, JIRA, CloudStack and VMware; and utilizing Cloud Optimization, Software Development Lifecycle, and Business Process Improvement.
