JOB TITLE: Professional-System Engineer

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St. Dallas, TX 75202 [and various work locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES: Work closely with business stakeholders, development and system architecture teams during PI Planning/Grooming sessions to understand upcoming project requirements, identify the high priority scenarios for end-to-end validation and coordinates the testing efforts. Support quality assurance and test architecture responsibilities for major projects, validating critical customer flows in the online digital space. Design and implement test plans and strategies, working with Release Management teams for release scope, writing and executing test cases. Create test data requests for scenarios needed for test execution working with data team per the planned environment schedules. Identify and create defects and managing them through final resolution working with multiple teams as needed. Utilize test automation strategies to enhance test execution and coverage. Analyze test results and metrics, prepares and presents test status reports on a regular basis utilizing test management tools. Communicate progress proactively and regularly using available tools and strategies (scheduled and ad hoc meetings, formal jeopardies, escalations, daily/weekly progress reports, defect metrics collections). Engage with impacted teams throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle from project initiation to final production validation. Employ automation testing tools and strategy as well as test planning, test case design and execution for large-scale projects within integrated test environment requiring validation across multiple touchpoint API’s, microservices, email/SMS communications, file feeds, UI components. Utilize SCRUM / Agile, DevOps methodology, E2E/integration, progression and regression testing with focus on e- commerce order processing and backend validation. Work with mobile application testing for iOS and Android. Utilize multi-tier web application architecture and micro-service technologies. Write basic SQL/NOSQL queries for databases.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation employing automation testing tools and strategy as well as test planning, test case design and execution for large-scale projects within integrated test environment requiring validation across multiple touchpoints (API’s, microservices, email/SMS communications, file feeds, UI components); utilizing SCRUM / Agile, DevOps methodology, E2E/integration, progression and regression testing with focus on e- commerce order processing and backend validation; working with mobile application testing for iOS and Android; utilizing multi-tier web application architecture and micro-service technologies; and writing basic SQL/NOSQL queries for databases.
