THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist, Analytics to join our growing Data Analytics and Data Science team. In this role, you will design, build, and manage data models and pipelines that support business analysis, reporting, marketing attribution, and training datasets for various models such as Marketing Mix Models (MMM) and Lifetime Value (LTV). You will also drive the adoption of best practices, mentor other team members, and contribute to the development of a robust and scalable data architecture at AG1.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, build, and manage data models and pipelines for business analysis, BI reporting tools, marketing attribution, and model training datasets.
  • Foster an environment of data integrity, high-quality data architecture.
  • Ensure the data architecture is flexible, scalable, and reliable.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data architecture, data science, and analytics.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects to deliver impactful data solutions, driving significant business outcomes.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
  • Upskill and mentor team members in building scalable data models and writing efficient pipelines.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers, to foster collaboration and synergy.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in data architecture and analytics.

 

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

  • 6+ years of proven experience in one or more of the following roles: Analytics Engineer, BI Architect, Data Architect, Data Scientist - Analytics, Data Engineer, Lead Data Engineer, Senior Data Engineer.
  • Experience working in and collaborating with marketing analytics, site analytics, e-commerce, customer relationship management, retention, and loyalty teams. 
  • Proficiency with data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Proven track record in developing data models and ETL pipelines for data science teams.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and Python.
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar tools used for setting up data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience working with large datasets and creating analytical views from raw event-level data.
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker.
  • Experience creating reports for business stakeholders, including rhythm of business (WBR, MBR) and executive reports.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to create appropriate visualizations to convey data insights.
  • Experience mentoring team members in data architecture and analytics.
  • Proven track record of implementing and driving the adoption of best practices in data architecture.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $165,000 - $215,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
