Transport & Logistics associate focus on TMS integration and support 2 Locations

The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Transportation & Logistics Analyst, to join our dynamic team in Gliwice, Poland. In this role, you’ll play a key part in analysing and developing logistics and transportation plans that streamline production, distribution and inventory management. You’ll ensure that the distribution and delivery processes meet business needs while minimising costs and improving operational performance.
Approximately 30% of the role involves travel across Europe, including overnight stays. Your initial training will take place in Bruchsal, Germany, lasting 4-6 weeks.
This is a full-time permanent position, offering remote working flexibility. If you live in close proximity to our headquarters in Gliwice, we’d like you to visit the office a couple of times per week.
Our key facility in Gliwice specialises in quality assurance, manufacturing, and logistics to support the pharmaceutical, biotech, and research industries. Working hours: Monday to Friday, core hours
What we’re looking for:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
Experience:
At least 3 years experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with a strong understanding of transportation analysis and carrier management
Proficiency in SAP Unicorn, Microsoft Excel, and Access is essential; experience with SAP TM, Inexus, Power BI, or Qlikview is an advantage
Strong ability to analyse data, optimise transportation networks, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Fluent in English and Polish (German language skills are an advantage)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
IT (programming) skills are an advantage
How you’ll thrive and create an impact:
Perform costing and pricing analysis for carrier proposals and define baseline transportation cost benchmarks
Manage the carrier acquisition process, from RFP creation to contract finalisation
Analyse transportation data, including lane and mode analysis, to recommend optimal solutions
Maintain databases and reporting tools for transportation logistics and distribution
Assess and optimise transportation networks for continuous improvement and cost reduction
