We are looking for a supplier professional focused on the strategic leadership and relationship of company suppliers to achieve the best financial performance and relationship with assigned product lines.

Job Summary

As a Regional Supplier Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing critical relationships with our key suppliers, helping to drive Farnell forward in an ever-evolving market. Reporting to an experienced manager with an extensive background in electronics, this role offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about the electronics industry and is looking to advance their career in a dynamic environment.

What will you be doing?

Supplier Relationship Management: Directs and manages the supplier business plan and implementation process throughout the organization leveraging supplier strengths and resources on behalf of the supplier and communicating supplier benefits to the company

Negotiation and Contracts: Supports cross functional communication with the companys product groups in price negotiations and market knowledge.

Market Analysis: Performs analysis and reports of various program impact for the supplier. Participates in supplier business reviews providing appropriate data and engaging in resolving issues.

Performance Optimization: Determines, monitors and recommends plans for the supplier, company business relationship on a tactical and strategic level.

Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams. Supports cross functional communication with the companys product groups in price negotiations and market knowledge.

Continuous Improvement: Identifies and drives new supplier opportunities with particular emphasis on the development of new services that blend unique supplier resource/capability along with service/capability to create a unique value proposition.

THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE WORKING FROM HOME AND BEING ON SITE IN LEEDS.

What about you?

  • Proven experience in supplier or account management, preferably within the electronics industry.
  • Direct or indirect sales and marketing experience.
  • Strong Knowledge and understanding of electronics and the Category market, and trends; supply and demand; competitor awareness; product knowledge, pricing structures and mechanism; macro economic and political factors; analytical techniques
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and developing supplier relationships.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, ensuring that agreements are beneficial for all parties involved.
  • Strong understanding of the electronics or electrical distribution market, with the ability to analyze market trends and competition.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, using data and metrics to inform decisions and drive performance improvements.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills to build strong relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholders up to director & VP level.
  • The ability to think strategically and develop innovative approaches to grow supplier-driven revenue.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and revenue targets.
