Job Summary
In this role, you will be steered by an experienced PM and architect with 9 years under her belt with Avnet. You will need to work autonomously and collaboratively across multiple projects across the business unit.
You will plan, lead, monitor, and coordinate technology, business projects, and program activities. As the go-to person, liaising with various stakeholders will be your job to keep things moving. You will be a doer who brings ideas, is creative and can quickly solve issues and problems.
In this role, you will be the face of the project and the person managing the project to ensure cost, schedule, scope, and deliverables are achieved.
Our office is in Dublin, and this role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to work from the office and home. This flexibility provides a balanced work environment that suits your needs.

What will you be doing?
- Use project management principles, theories, techniques and tools to manage time, cost, schedules, quality, procurement, communication, and risk.
- Directs and coordinates activities of assigned project personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget. Provides direction of project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Determines methods and resources needed to achieve project goals and develops and maintains a detailed work (project) plan.
- Coordinates activities and works in partnership with all stakeholders across departments.
- Facilitates meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of view. Facilitates problem-solving and decision-making.
- Formulates conclusions and recommendations and develops options. Effectively presents and justifies findings and recommendations to management and customers, as appropriate, to gain approval.
- May manage projects and programs across multiple departments/regions throughout the company.
- Manage vendor relationships and liaise with vendors, project team members, and senior management.
- Manage vendors, including cost, quality, and schedules.
- Identifies, manages, and mitigates issues and risks.
What about you?
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within the distribution and supply chain.
- Strong awareness of project management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English to effectively communicate across all levels.
- Comfortable working autonomously.
- Typically works on more large-scale, complex, high-risk projects, including IT projects.
- Some experience with process improvement or change would be advantageous.
- A certification in project management would be desirable, though not essential.
- A problem solver who shows initiative and takes ownership.
- Willingness to work across different time zones and occasionally travel globally.
