Get to Know the Opportunity:

Searching for an energetic, assertive and articulate Health Plan Account Executive to join our dynamic team of sales individuals. In this role you will develop new business opportunities within a defined set of named accounts within the health payer market.  The ideal candidate will have experience selling enterprise software and consulting services to health payers.   We are looking for an individual to own the entire sales cycle with a demonstrated understanding of healthcare technology, ability to articulate business value and navigate the complexities of an enterprise sale.  This role reports to our Vice President of Sales.  This position will require ability to travel on-site as needed to advance deals forward, typically about 25% travel.

The Contributions Youll Make:

  • Meet/exceed quota targets by focusing relentlessly on bringing new clients onto the Benefitfocus platform and expanding the business inside existing client accounts
  • Develop a set of strategic account plans assigned for your territory that includes how you will engage leaders responsible for driving growth, innovation and administrative and operational efficiency within the commercial health payer market.
  • Build long term relationships with C-level and executives within designated territory, prospecting, cultivating, and managing the relationship.
  • Become a trusted advisor to customers and prospects by understanding their needs and business objectives, demonstrating industry awareness and co-creating high impact business solutions
  • Manage end-end sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution for named accounts within your territory.
  • Ability to generate leads through existing network, cold calling, and creative go-to-market strategies
  • Experience in producing and managing new business development plans and sales forecasts
  • Analyze market and company information to build effective presentations and ROI models 

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years proven success selling SaaS-based Enterprise Software Solutions with at least 3+ years of experience selling to Health Plans
  • A demonstrated track record where you consistently have met or exceeded annual quota
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding in healthcare with rich experience working with health plans and benefits
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior audiences
  • Understanding of MEDDPICC sales methodologies and framework to qualify opportunities and increase win rates
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to own the entire sales cycle from Lead Generation to Contract Close
  • High sense of urgency, self-motivated and capable of managing complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Sales experience managing complex account relationships
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and opportunities simultaneously

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
