Profile Summary:
The role of Leave & Disability Claims Quality Assurance Manager is to manage employees, oversee adherence to claims management processes, identify trends through data and develop strategies to continuously improve the customer experience for Voyas customers. This position is also responsible for partnering with internal/external Audit teams.
Profile Description:
- Responsible for constructing a quality program that reflects the organization’s values and continually evolves as business and technology needs dictate
- Manage day to day operations of Leave & Disability Quality Assurance team by managing workflows, providing guidance, and proactively identifying trends to present to leadership with recommendations for action plans to drive improvement
- Leverage Quality methodologies that allow for team members to learn from and employ new opportunities
- Define and build important quality metrics that can be shared at the individual, team, and organizational level
- Work closely with internal teams to identify gaps in knowledge and customer experience
- Lead strategic improvement and growth initiatives—develop programs that measure and evaluate Leave & Disability Operations and Quality Assurance Team performance
- Lead in a Continuous Improvement environment, and engage in Root Cause Problem Solving to improve Voya’s call quality and customer experience
- Manage programs to monitor adherence and compliance to business and/or enterprise level legal and regulatory requirements
- Act as primary point of contact for service delivery; issue, incident, problem and change management; and overall business process service delivery in accordance with committed Service Level Agreements. May require coordination and escalation with other business units
- Responsible for driving employee engagement, development and career growth, and hiring of new staff
- Responsible for driving team and department efficiency
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- Previous management experience strongly preferred, bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit or quality management environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
- Leave & Disability industry experience preferred.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
