We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Manager to lead our Inbound Sales Development team while driving sales strategy and execution for a large part of our Growth Sales Funnel. The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Manager of Sales Development.
This position is based at Draper, Utah. We support a hybrid work environment with on-site and remote work days.
More specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
- Aggressively scale the Business Development organization
- Must have a proven sales management track record of hiring, training, coaching, and motivating a BDR team.
- Work closely with the sales operations team to build a metrics driven high velocity lead generation machine through innovation and optimization
- Develop a close partnership with marketing teams to create seamless collaboration between demand gen and lead conversion efforts.
- Translate market and customer insights into feedback to influence product road map.
- Manage BDRs through a structured lead generation process with a focus on data driven KPIs (time to contact, number of active leads, calls, meetings and sales qualified opportunities)
- Create call coaching and development plans to help increase productivity with a goal on increased qualified meetings
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Experience leading a team of 8+ Sales Development/Business Development/Marketing Development Representatives. SaaS software experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must have a proven track record of hiring, training, coaching, and motivating a BDR/SDR team for a minimum of one year.
- Deeply analytical with a proven ability to foster data-driven sales cultures.
- Comprehensive understanding of lead generation techniques and processes.
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Outreach.io, Drift, and other leading sales and marketing tools.
- Superior leadership and management skills that include communication, excellence, transparency, collaboration and mentoring.
- Customer-centric point of view with a passion for delighting customers.
- Strong product sensibility with a proven track record collaborating with products.
- Ability to work from BILL’s San Jose CA or Draper, UT

The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. This role is eligible to participate in BILL’s sales incentive and equity plans. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
