About this role

The Securitized Assets Team within Fundamental Fixed Income is seeking an Analyst to join the Non-Agency RMBS trading desk. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Non-Agency RMBS traders and Portfolio Managers with various facets of the investing business. The position is based in New York City.

Title and compensation will be commensurate with the relevancy of past experience and qualifications to the role.

Role responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze collateral backing various types of Non-Agency RMBS deals and deal structures/ underlying deal documents/ modeling.

  • Review model projections.

  • Evaluate creditworthiness of bonds in the primary and secondary market. Run bonds for pricing. Use Intex to run deal and bond cash flows and scenarios. Perform scenario analysis. Assess relative value of bonds.

  • Perform surveillance of deals across the Non-Agency RMBS credit spectrum.

  • Set up new deals, obtain necessary approvals to participate in new deals. Check compliance rules.

  • Attend road shows and meetings with investors/clients/ the Street.

  • Put together various presentations for pitches, internal meetings.

  • Trade RMBS bonds.

  • Perform hedging of RMBS positions. 

  • Present updates on the RMBS market to multi-sector PMs.

  • Use your coding skills to improve processes and functions.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant and similar experience working in fixed income markets (may include research, trading, banking/syndicate, risk management, and/or general portfolio management)

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Quantitative background

  • Strong interest in financial markets and investing.

  • Strong financial modeling, organizational, and communication skills

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Coding experience a plus. Prior experience with Intex a plus.


 

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$116,000.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
