Job Duties: Perform hands-on software development while leading other developers to build our next generation ETF platform. Work with UX designers to build easy-to-use and intuitive screens that will generate user delight. Actively participate in the teams agile delivery process, completing sprint tasks and writing high quality code, unit tests, and automated integration tests to move features to production. Provide high quality technical input to team discussions on system design, seeing efforts through to final delivery. Mentor junior team members providing code style and architectural input through pair programming, reviewing pull requests, and team meetings. Perform high-level root cause analysis for service interruptions and help bring services back online once problem is resolved. Focus on one component of teams domain. Actively work to improve engineering skills, including understanding Blackrocks technology stack, practice, and tooling. Number of direct reports may vary..

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; and 72 months (6 years) of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 72 months (6 years) of experience involving the following: 1. Developing internet facing web applications using Angular 11 and ngRx. 2. Strong expertise in Java programming, understanding of Java ecosystems, and best practices in Java development. 3. Designing and building software applications using API-First principles using at least one of REST/gPRC. 4. Using modern software engineering tools such as Git, maven, unit testing, integration testing tools, AND mocking frameworks. 5. Using version control systems like SVN and GIT for code maintenance. 6. Using JIRA for application tracking and monitoring.

Salary: $173,900.00 - $200,000.00
