Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, California.

Spectrolab is the world’s leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems, with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Spectrolab’s state-of-the-art space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earth’s orbit, as well as the International Space Station.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
• Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements
• Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements
• Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• More than 1 year of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
• More than 1 year of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• More than 3 years of experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
• More than 3 years working with Domestics/International Military and or Commercial Aerospace customers
• More than 3 years of experience working with procurement systems and processes
• More than 3 years of experience do you have in any of the following structured material release/inventory systems: Government On Line Database (GOLD), Shop Floor, System Applications & Products (SAP)

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $64,600 - $79,800
