The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Voice Tools Developer to join the Communication & Collaboration team in Berkeley, MO; Kent, WA; North Charleston, SC; Seal Beach, CA; or Seattle, WA.
As a Senior Voice Tools Developer, you will be designing, maintaining, and supporting software used in Workplace Solution Voice Service organization. The Voice Tools Developer will configure, maintain, and administrate COTS IT system monitoring and provisioning applications such as Integrated Research Prognosis, Tone Software ReliaTel, and Ventraq NetPlus. The Voice Tools Developer will also configure, maintain, and administer in-house Voice tools such as VoIP Engineering and Reporting Tools. As a Voice Tools Developer, you will be upgrading and patching Voice tools to keep them updated and compliant. The selected candidate will work with Voice Team to investigate and fix issues of the Boeing enterprise communication system.
Position Responsibilities:
Work with Voice Team to investigate and fix issues of the Boeing enterprise communication system.
Function as a liaison with product vendors on change requests and defect fixes on COTS applications
Develop and maintain reporting scripts and batch jobs
Generate reports.
Support Windows and Linux server administration
Support Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database administration
Lead others to identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements
Lead activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components
Provide technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
Provide technical support and consultation for the implementation and usage of complex delivery systems
Work with appropriate product vendor for improvements and issues not resolved in-house
Choose appropriate computing products and methods to ensure requirements are met for security, problem management, capacity/performance management and operational management
Coordination with customers and product vendors on break fix tickets and major incidents
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in different telephony systems and technologies (VoIP, Analog, PBX, etc.)
3+ years of experience with network protocols and/or routing table definition
3+ years of experience with LINUX and Windows operating systems at the system administrator level
Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle
Experience with application development using Perl or Python programming languages
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher
Experience with common scripting tools such as Perl, Shell, etc.
Experience with Cisco and Microsoft (MS Teams) infrastructure
Experience with Operating Systems such as UNIX, Linux and Windows Server
Experience with database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle SQL
Experience with Visual Basic for Application – VBA Code
Experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting
Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols such as SNMP
Experience with web and application servers such as Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat and MS IIS
Experience with collaborate multi-functionally with different departments and vendors
Experience with working independently to solve challenging problems
