The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Solution Owner (SAP Ariba) (Associate or Experienced) to support our ongoing modernization transformation journey. This person should be curious, a story-teller at their core, continuously looking, delivering, and managing system enhancements that provide value and enable our business to meet near-term and long-term needs.

This position sits within Boeing’s Enterprise Services organization. Enterprise Services is a team of 2,300+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise. The individual in this role would be a part of Enterprise Services Technology and Systems team.

This position will allow the candidate to be based out of one of the following: Charleston, SC; Arlington, VA, Chicago, IL; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; Huntington Beach, CA; Seal Beach, CA; Plano, TX; Portland, OR; El Segundo, CA or Ridley Park, PA.

Position Responsibilities:

Integration Design and Development:

  • Analyzes business requirements and designs integration solutions that align with organizational goals

  • Develops and configures integration workflows between SAP Ariba and other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and integrity

  • Utilizes middleware tools and technologies to facilitate seamless data exchange and process automation

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

  • Engages with Indirect Supply Chain (ISC), IT/EST Leadership teams, Supplier/Consultant Leadership teams and provide exposure to senior level decision making. This is an integration leadership role to create operational and strategic effectiveness across the systems/processes used by the ISC organization

  • Serves as a trusted business liaison/representative for your Ariba/Supply Chain Solution Modules, making automation and process improvements that will benefit the effectiveness of the organization’s overall ability to use the Ariba system

  • Works closely with procurement, finance, and IT teams to understand their needs and ensure that integration solutions meet business requirements

  • Facilitates workshops and meetings to gather requirements, presents integration strategies, and provides updates on project progress

System Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

  • Implements monitoring tools and dashboards to track integration performance through KPI’s and identify potential issues proactively

  • Troubleshoots and resolves integration errors, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner

  • Conducts root cause analysis for recurring issues and implements corrective actions to prevent future occurrences

Testing and Validation:

  • Develops and executes test plans as necessary to validate integration functionality, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Collaborates with end-users to ensure that integrations meet their needs and expectations, gathering feedback for continuous improvement

  • Collaborates with operational PA/Business partners to “test/pilot” the process improvement proposed in the live system

Documentation and Training:

  • Creates comprehensive documentation for integration processes, including technical specifications, data mapping, and user guides

  • Develops training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and IT staff on new integration functionalities and best practices

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stays informed about the latest SAP Ariba features, industry trends, and best practices in systems integration

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and recommends enhancements to existing integration solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Project Management:

  • Participates and owns project planning activities by proactively identifying, proposing, and executing improvement project plans for any aspect of the business (including but not limited to: execution, strategy, training and communication of ERP Integration Framework and automation alignment of Ariba Subsidiaries)

  • Participates in project planning and management activities, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation

  • Leads with project management expertise by analyzing and establishing goals that are aligned with commodity and organizational objectives associated with system/process improvements related to ERP Integration Framework and automation alignment of Ariba Subsidiaries

  • Provides regular status updates to project stakeholders and escalates issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensures that all integration solutions comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Implements security measures to protect sensitive data during integration processes and maintain data privacy

Cross-Functional Support:

  • Acts as a liaison between technical teams and business units, translating technical concepts into business language and vice versa

  • Supports other IT initiatives as needed, contributing technical expertise to various projects and initiatives within the organization

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborates with external vendors and consultants as needed for integration projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and practices

  • Evaluates vendor solutions and provide recommendations based on integration needs and business objectives

  • ISC Executive Leadership Team

  • ES Technology and Systems Executive Leadership Team

  • Procurement Agents / Analysts

  • Build external relationships with vendors and/or consultant parties

  • Key functional partners, specifically IT and Finance

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years Systems Integration experience

  • 1+ years Supply Chain Management

  • 1+ years supporting supply chain systems and tools

  • 1+ years project management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 2: 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management

  • Direct experience using and/or designing with SAP Ariba as supply chain management systems

  • Knowledge of Ariba Roles/Rules

  • Automation alignment of Ariba Purchasing Units

  • Experience with APIs, web services, and data transformation techniques

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • SAP Ariba certification is a plus

  • Experience in the aerospace industry or the industrial sector preferred

Experience:

The ideal candidate for the Systems Integration Specialist - SAP Ariba position will possess a minimum of 1+ years of experience in systems integration, with a strong focus on SAP Ariba and related procurement processes. This experience should include hands-on involvement in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions, as well as a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects. Familiarity with integration tools and technologies, along with an understand of ERP Integration Framework, will be essential for driving effective integration strategies and ensuring seamless data flow across the organization.

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $70,550 - $102,350

Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $87,550 - $126,500
