Collective Training Exercise Planner
Key Role:
Assist an Army client by consulting, mentoring, and participating in the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process for mobilizing units, including supporting Multi-Component Joint Assessments (MCJA) and pre- and post-mobilization training events. Serve as an exercise design subject matter expert (SME) preparing for and executing concept development workshops (CDW), initial, main, and final planning event (I/M/FPE) meetings, in-progress reviews, technical integration working groups, and culminating training events (CTE). Build events in support of the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), conduct storyline development and scripting, and build injects for integration into the Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environment while using the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS). Serve as a member of an exercise control (EXCON) or higher, adjacent, lower, supporting, and supported (HALSS) cell, and prepare briefings, operations orders and annexes, and other required products. Mentor personnel from team level to division level on Army doctrine, policies, regulations, the Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM), force tracking numbers (FTN), and the six Army warfighting functions. Compose executive summaries, whitepapers, trip reports, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience training Army Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support organizations
- Experience training Army units in command and staff environments at the Battalion and Brigade levels
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and regulations involved in supporting military operations
- Knowledge of military training, doctrine, planning, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and force structure to design exercises that meet doctrinal requirements
- Knowledge of Command and Control (C2) Information Systems
- Ability to create U.S. Army Medical Operations scenario scripting and conduct exercise design
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with military exercise design and development
- Experience with U.S. Army Medical Service Corps (MSC), managing health services and clinical operations
- Experience as an Observer Coach or Trainer (OC/T), Simulations Operations Officer FA 57A or CP 36, Army Planner FA 59, Battle Staff NCO, or Digital Master Gunner
- Experience working on a battalion or higher headquarters staff
- Experience conducting mobilization operations
- Experience using Microsoft 365, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Knowledge of First Army MCJA
- Knowledge of the Joint Training Tool (JTT), formerly JTIMS
- Knowledge of JCRM
- Knowledge of FTN

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
