The Opportunity:

Booz Allen is seeking a talented Software Engineer to help us create a new application to positively impact the lives of millions of Americans. We need a creative engineer with experience developing high-quality products on schedule, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for innovation. In this role you will be responsible for front-end development of a new web-based application as well as the ongoing support of the application in the production environment.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience with Agile frameworks, regression testing, and working with React, Java, Typescript or JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and XML

• Knowledge of software development, user interface web applications, and architecture styles or APIs, including SOAP, REST, or RPC

• Knowledge of modern source control systems such as Git, Svn, or Mercurial

• Knowledge of modern web design using HTML5 and CSS3 and implementing UX/UI requirements via responsive frameworks and design systems

• Ability to revise, update, refactor, and debug code, improve existing software, and understand front-end users’ requirements with a problem-solving attitude

• Ability to participate in requirements analysis and Agile Scrum ceremonies, including Story Point Estimation, Backlog Grooming, Sprint or Release Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives

• Ability to work non-standard hours, including shift work

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with VA or other federal government agencies

• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance

• Ability to present high standards, be results-oriented, and a display commitment to delivering high-quality software on time

• Possession of excellent analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,700.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
