The primary objective of the position is to lead and manage critical projects that drive efficiency, scalability and improved quality. The evidence of success is that the service teams produce “raves” through their ongoing service and support for a broad range of clients across multiple specialized functional areas, costs are lowered through improved processes and growth enablement is possible due to scale.

Specialty Services includes: Verification services (dependents, life events, state waivers) Evidence of Insurability, QMCSO, COBRA, Billing. The Director will have accountability for multiple functional areas within this scope. This position is for COBRA and Billing. In future years it may rotate to other areas of the business.

This role is remote and can be filled anywhere in the U.S. However, no matter the candidate’s geography, bswift operates with Central time zone expectations for availability and expects the same of all teammates.
This is an individual contributor role, but the Director must be able to use their influence to create accountability and results in a matrixed environment.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Rapidly deliver on key projects including: training development and delivery, software implementations, process mapping, sales enablement consulting as a SME, risk management
• Coach and develop junior teammates who are dotted line working with you
• Lead governance on overall client lines of business while ensuring that we are meeting and exceeding expectations
• Build a relationship with internal customers via ongoing governance and personal discussions with full portfolio of clients and peers
• Coordinate with bswift teams to coordinate solutions and seamless delivery
• Manage implementation risks and deliverables including status dashboarding and risk mitigation
• Lead efforts to improve process, tech and delivery quality and timeliness
• Be a SME to internal and, occasionally, external customers

Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Other Requirements:
• 5+ years of service delivery / operations experience
• 8+ years of benefits administration experience
• Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Comfortable making decisions in situations of ambiguity
• A leadership style that reflects and reinforces bswift core values
• Ability to assist and equip others to efficiently solve complex problems
• Significant process management experience
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability to a rapidly changing priority list
• Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Willingness to travel/work in Chicago office as needed (up to 10%)
• B.A. or B.S. required, or equivalent relevant work experience

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
