We’re looking for a Contract Manager to support our Legal team in managing inbound and outbound agreements, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and improving operational efficiency. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys solving complex challenges. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across the company, balancing multiple priorities while ensuring contracts align with our business objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, strategic partnerships, NDAs, and third-party vendor contracts.
  • Partner with the Revenue team to structure and negotiate commercial terms for sales agreements.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional communication to ensure contract terms align with company policies and business needs.
  • Manage contract workflows from negotiation through execution, tracking key terms and compliance obligations.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining contract templates to align with evolving products, pricing, and market trends.
  • Develop contract playbooks and best practices to enable scalability and consistency.
  • Provide strategic legal insights on new product initiatives, regulatory considerations, and risk mitigation.
  • Design and lead internal training on contract-related topics to empower teams across the organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering practical solutions to business challenges while balancing legal and operational considerations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, legal operations, procurement, or a similar function.
  • Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, particularly in SaaS, fintech, or enterprise sales.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, including financial institutions and regulatory processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—able to engage effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; pre-law or other legal focus preferred.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience at a SaaS or fintech company, especially in a high-growth environment.
  • Background working with financial institutions or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with procurement processes and navigating enterprise sales cycles.
  • Prior exposure to venture- or private equity-backed companies.
  • Familiarity with tools like Ironclad, Zip, Salesforce, Google Drive, and Slack.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a high tolerance for ambiguity.

 

Built’s salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Builts total compensation package for employees.
