You will be part of the organization with an aim of delivering a world class data platform, product analytics and AI services that delights our internal and external customers.  

Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Head of Product Analytics who will bring data-driven decision making, competitive analytics skills and organizational leadership. You will report to our VP, Data, AI & Analytics and will be responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis to derive actionable insights that inform product decisions, leading a team of analysts and people managers to ensure efficient execution of analytics tasks. You play a crucial role in strategic planning by collaborating with cross-functional data, product and engineering teams to align product development with market needs, establishing data standards, and participating in high-level discussions with stakeholders including top executives to drive data-driven strategies and execution.

A day in the life of a Head of Product Analytics at Calendly

On a typical day, you will be working on: 

  • Data Analysis and Insights: conducting an in-depth analysis of product data to derive actionable insights and inform tactical and strategic decisions of the product; Serving as a subject matter expert and as a vocal thought leader in the analytics domain
  • Team Leadership: leading and mentoring a team of analysts and managers, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring a clear alignment with business objectives; taking a consultative and hands-on approach to enable both analytics teams and product management teams; build and execute a compelling, high-quality roadmap with a sense of urgency
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: working closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and data platform teams to integrate data-driven insights into the product development process
  • Strategic Planning: developing and communicating product goals, strategies, and key performance metrics (including enterprise wide metrics and hierarchies) in collaboration with other departments; supporting product/feature level experimentation that enables cross functional teams to carry out properly designed and instrumented experiments and measurements
  • Market Research: conducting market research and analyzing user behavior to identify opportunities for product improvement
  • Stakeholder Engagement: interfacing with top executives and stakeholders to present findings with compelling data narratives and drive data-informed decisions
  • Tool and Platform Advancement: advancing analytics platforms and modern internal tools to support marketing, sales, product, and customer experience initiatives
  • Problem Solving: identifying and recommending elegant solutions to product issues and operational strategies
  • Budget Management: developing and managing budgets to ensure resources are available and properly allocated for product initiatives
  • Continuous Improvement: reviewing and refining current systems and strategies to enhance product effectiveness and achieve business growth

What do we need from you?

  • 10+ years as a product analyst and 5+ years leading analytics teams including managers,, demonstrating success in hiring and growing top talent; experience working at consumer product companies at a large scale is a plus
  • Proficiency in modern data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, with a deep technical knowledge and understanding of leveraging data for competitive advantage; extensive experience with A/B testing and A/B testing platforms
  • Proven leadership skills to guide and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
  • The ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations, strategic roadmaps that will strongly contribute to product strategy
  • Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align analytics with business goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights to stakeholders including top executives and collaborating across all departments
  • The ability to identify issues and recommend solutions to improve product performance and strategy
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and report findings effectively
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and the ability to analyze customer behavior to inform product decisions
  • A degree in relevant fields such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics, with advanced degrees preferred

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
