As a Principal IT Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of Camping World and driving strategic initiatives forward. Leveraging your deep expertise in Enterprise Architecture (Data, Applications, Infrastructure and Operations, and Security architecture domains), you will lead the architecture, design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that address complex business challenges and support the Camping Worlds growth and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Enterprise Solutions Architecture Development: Spearhead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Solutions Architecture strategies and solutions that intricately align with business objectives and foster innovation. Provide decisive leadership and comprehensive guidance in defining solution architectures that impeccably meet business requisites, adhere to enterprise architecture standards, and leverage emerging technologies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with pivotal stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units, and technical teams, to comprehensively grasp requirements, assimilate insights, and meticulously chart architectural roadmaps. Foster collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure that solution architectures holistically address business imperatives and technical prerequisites with precision.
  • Thought Leadership and Technical Expertise: Exemplify thought leadership and technical prowess in Solutions Architecture, adeptly guiding cross-functional teams through the intricacies of the architecture design process. Represent Solutions Architectures at the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and remain at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Offer astute recommendations on seamlessly incorporating them into solution architectures to propel organizational advancement.
  • System Assessment and Enhancement: Conduct exhaustive assessments of existing systems, meticulously pinpoint areas for enhancement, and proactively propose innovative solutions to bolster performance, scalability, and security. Take charge of the evaluation and selection of third-party solutions and technologies, ensuring their compatibility, reliability, and scalability in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide invaluable mentorship and coaching to junior architects and engineers, cultivating a culture of perpetual learning and development within the team. Offer expert guidance on best practices, methodologies, and techniques in Solutions Architecture, empowering team members to achieve excellence in their respective roles.
  • Design and Implementation Leadership: Lead the charge in designing and implementing intricate, enterprise-scale IT solutions, meticulously ensuring their alignment with architectural standards, industry best practices, and business mandates. Collaborate seamlessly with technical teams to craft meticulous solution designs, offer steadfast oversight during implementation, and guarantee the seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Risk Mitigation and Compliance Assurance: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to meticulously identify and mitigate risks associated with solution architectures, ensuring unwavering compliance with industry standards and regulatory requisites. Provide strategic guidance on security and compliance considerations throughout the solution lifecycle, fostering a robust and resilient architecture framework.
  • Continuous Improvement Advocacy: Drive relentless advancement in Solutions Architecture practices, processes, and methodologies. Spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing existing architectures, streamlining workflows, and augmenting overall efficiency and effectiveness. Pioneering the establishment of Enterprise Architecture Standards, including policies, standards, practices, guidelines, specifications, decision trees, and patterns, champion their approval and adoption across the organization.
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration: Articulate complex technical concepts with precision and clarity, fostering effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Cultivate a collaborative ethos across teams, ensuring seamless alignment between solution architectures and organizational aspirations and priorities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in IT, Enterprise, and/or Solutions Architecture, with a demonstrated history of successful architecture designs and implementations of complex, enterprise-scale IT solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Architecture Domains including Business Architecture, Data and Information Architecture, Applications Architecture, Security and Identity Architecture, Integration Architecture, Infrastructure (in hybris Cloud environments) and Services Architecture, Observability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Architecture.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling assessment of complex technical challenges and the development of innovative solutions.
  • Strong experience in Agile environments, particularly in Agile Enterprise Architecture-as-a-Service and Architecture-as-a-Product environments, designed for change and adaptability.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cloud Computing Platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with hands-on experience in architecting cloud-native and multi-Cloud solutions.
  • Outstanding leadership and team-building capabilities, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional programs/projects and driving strategic initiatives forward in both Agile and traditional Waterfall portfolio/project environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), DevOps (DevSecOps), Lean Architecture, Application and Technology Portfolio Management (APM, TPM), Agile methodologies, and best practices.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, and compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Pay Range:

$158,655.00-$238,035.00 Annual
