Senior Manager, Business Development - Energy Category (Remote)

Capital One Shopping Energy & Utilities Category is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development to lead corporate development transactions.

The Senior Manager would:

Execute financial modeling for new sub-category opportunities. Develop drafts of slides summarizing financial models or current project status for senior management. Coordinate with internal experts around advertising onboarding and due diligence. Lead negotiations with advertisers through detailed reviews and creation and management of issues lists. Present business cases to senior management across business functions for approval and lead cross-functional teams to execute the strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead pitching & sourcing of new potential partners in the energy and utilities category

• Create decks to evaluate businesses, companies, and strategic opportunities for Capital One

• Negotiating terms and pricing 

• Maintain external relationships

• Assist in activation of events with key relationships

 

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting

• At least 5 years of experience in Rooftop Solar or Community Solar sectors

• At least 5 years of experience in Strategy or Corporate Development

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing or Finance

• 7+ years of experience in Energy or Utilities sector

• 2+ years of experience in a Startup environment

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Remote (Regardless of Location): $168,700 - $192,600 for Sr. Mgr, Business Development

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
