Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Cyber Threat Intelligence to lead our global threat intelligence program. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats targeting our diverse and complex infrastructure. The Director will build and lead a high-performing team of threat intelligence analysts, driving proactive threat hunting, vulnerability analysis, and actionable intelligence dissemination to protect our critical assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive global cyber threat intelligence strategy aligned with the companys overall security objectives and risk tolerance.

    • Establish and maintain a robust threat intelligence lifecycle, encompassing collection, analysis, dissemination, and feedback.

    • Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on emerging cyber threats and trends, particularly those impacting healthcare, logistics, and OT environments.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to communicate threat intelligence insights and inform risk management decisions.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of threat intelligence analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    • Define team roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and expertise.

  • Threat Intelligence Operations:

    • Oversee the collection and analysis of threat intelligence from diverse sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), commercial threat feeds, and internal security data.

    • Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability analysis to identify potential security gaps and emerging threats.

    • Develop and maintain threat intelligence platforms and tools to support efficient analysis and dissemination in both manual and highly automated integrations and operational environments

    • Produce timely and actionable threat intelligence reports and briefings for various audiences, including executive leadership, security operations, and incident response teams.

  • OT/IoT Security Focus:

    • Develop specialized threat intelligence capabilities to address the unique security challenges of OT and IoT environments.

    • Monitor and analyze threats targeting industrial control systems (ICS), medical devices, and other connected devices.

    • Collaborate with OT security teams to integrate threat intelligence into security monitoring and incident response processes.

  • Regulatory Compliance and Collaboration:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including ISO 27001/2, PCI, DoD, HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR, and NIST and similar standards and frameworks.

    • Collaborate with external partners, including law enforcement agencies, industry associations, and threat intelligence sharing communities.

    • Participate in incident response activities, providing threat intelligence support to contain and remediate security incidents.

  • Cloud Security Expertise:

    • Ensure the threat intelligence program can accurately monitor and provide insights into threats targeting the organizations private and public cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

  • Minimum of ten (10) ore more years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing threat intelligence teams.

  • Deep understanding of cyber threat intelligence methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Extensive experience with threat hunting, vulnerability analysis, and cyber security incident response.

  • Strong knowledge of OT/IoT security principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, including HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience with cloud security threat intelligence.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SANS GIAC certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare or logistics industry.

  • Experience in a heavily regulated environment.

  • Knowledge of specific threat actors targeting industrial control systems.

  • Experience with large scale data analysis.

  • Experience with SIEM and SOAR technologies, processes and automations

  • Experience with Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), vendors, solutions.

  • Experience working with collaborative threat intel communities and organizations like Health-ISAC and others.

  • Experience with AI and ML integrations and how to leverage those tools to optimize CTI and Cyber Threat Hunting operations.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
