About the Role

The IT Systems Engineer is a key, cross-functional position that will have the opportunity to influence and impact multiple departments at Charlie Health. As a member of the IT team, the IT Systems Engineer will work on special technology-focused projects to enhance the efficiency of all departments at Charlie Health. You will solve complex business problems through automation and integration of our SaaS infrastructure throughout the organization. This is an integral role in building the foundations that will enable the company to scale effectively, drive consistency in processes and enhance overall user experience. We fully expect that this individual will be low-ego, eager to join a fast-paced company, hungry to learn, and able to work independently. The IT Systems Engineer will be given an exceptional level of autonomy and responsibility, but it is expected that this individual will think like an owner and commit themselves to Charlie Healths success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive modernization and scalability through automation of our IT processes, including onboarding and access management
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams to understand complex business problems and design and build technical solutions to drive success 
  • Design, build, and maintain IT infrastructure and enterprise systems supporting our business objectives
  • Partner with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams to increase efficiency by automating processes and developing workflows
  • Implement and integrate SSO via SAML with a focus on automated application deployment, SCIM and maintenance  
  • Build out automations with Workato or Okta Advanced Workflows
  • Communicate and deploy new products, system and product features to facilitate our rapid growth
  • Architect and manage IT infrastructure supporting corporate and security applications
  • Build, develop and deploy MDM systems and policies using Intune and Jamf
  • Architect, deploy and manage new corporate software solutions into our environment to solve business problems 
  • Work closely with other engineering, operations, and support teams to deliver and maintain new capabilities and systems
  • Partner with InfoSec to ensure proper execution of application security, IT controls and policies
  • Build self service tools and capabilities to empower users 
  • Be a contributor to long-term foundational IT infrastructure projects
  • Roll out, set up, and educate employees on new product implementations

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a desktop support environment with functional SaaS platform implementation and support covering Business Systems including HR, Expense Management, Financials and other office applications (i.e. Adobe, DocuSign etc.)
  • 3 years experience in scripting (shell, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • 3 years experience working with API’s
  • Experience with JAMF, Intune, Google MDM or other MDM solutions
  • Experience with a broad set of tools and technologies for troubleshooting
  • Experience with Mac OS, Windows and iOS
  • Experience with Okta and Okta advanced workflows
  • Experience with Workato or a similar iPaaS
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • Experience with Zoom
  • Great communication skills
  • Passion for healthcare services
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, listening and relationship-building skills
  • Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
  • Resourceful with a natural ability to problem solve
  • Proactive self-starter and natural multitasker
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The total target base compensation for this role will be between $101,000-130,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location, experience, expertise, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Further, cash compensation is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may include stock options and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.
