Reporting to the Customer Operations Enablement Senior Director, the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) Operations Enablement (OE) Senior Manager will own the development and execution of all operational enablement functions to support the needs of the PBM Operations including instructional design, training delivery, knowledge management, and operational performance improvement. This role demands a technology-forward and innovative leader who can leverage modern tools and methodologies to transform the enablement environment. This leader will work closely with leadership to align business strategies with operational goals, manage the execution of strategic initiatives, and oversee day to day enablement operations for the PBM ensuring the organization operates efficiently and effectively to meet monthly performance metrics. Problems faced are often complex and will require the ability to influence others, including senior leaders, through effective communication and decision making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Aligns the vision and strategy of the PBM Operations Enablement team to key business priorities and initiatives, considering the strategy & vision of the broader Customer Operations Enablement organization.
  • Serves as a trusted partner to our PBM Operations internal stakeholders in understanding the business needs and translating that into an effective support model.
  • Ensures the PBM Operations Enablement team is deployed to the highest value creation opportunities, maximizing cost savings and realized efficiencies to contribute and support future growth opportunities in support of the enterprise strategy.
  • Acts as a strategist for future instructional design, knowledge, and training delivery needs to support the evolution of our business and workforce.
  • Drives efficiency through the implementation of enhanced technology and leverages data insights to drive decisions.
  • Owns identification and execution of process improvement initiatives within the operations necessary to continuously drive our operational readiness and learning strategies. Drives strategic deliverables for initiatives/projects to support strategic roadmaps, objectives and opportunity analysis.
  • Establishes and leverages global service partner relationships to deliver on the broader Customer Operations Enablement strategy.
  • Collaborates with cross functional matrix partners, operations, and human resources teams to ensure planning, execution, adoption, and reporting strategies for related areas of responsibility
  • Ensures effective communication with key stakeholders and internal management
  • Effectively manages teams through instilling a healthy culture and driving results
  • Fosters a connection and a sense of personal purpose to our Operations Enablement and Enterprise vision

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive leadership experience required, preferably within the health services industry leading enablement functions
  • Proven track record of leading and optimizing operational processes.

Proven track record of resilience, empathy, strong listening skills and the ability to work through challenging business situations in a highly collaborative way to drive the right business outcomes.  Possesses strong self-awareness and curiosity.  
  • Anticipatory – Demonstrated results in being able to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into both a short-term and long-term organizational plan 
  • General Management - Thorough understanding of finance, systems, and HR; broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, human resources, and marketing 
  • Drive for Results - Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; high level of business acumen, the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; allocates resources and manages operating expenses to maximize P&L while managing risk.  
  • Strategic Vision and Agility - Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan. Deliver on commitments to operational excellence for key performance goals and budgets on behalf of the businesses that we serve.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 124,400 - 207,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
