Summary:
We are currently seeking a new Site Reliability Engineer, Co-op, to join our Engineering team in Burnaby, Calgary or Toronto.
Applicants should be available for an 8-month co-op period from January 2025 to August 2025.
What your team does:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will help build, improve, and maintain Clio’s globally distributed network of service regions, which enables our clients worldwide to excel in their respective jurisdictions. You will play a critical role in nurturing Clio’s data ecosystem by developing tools, infrastructure, and services that support our developers in transforming the legal industry. You’ll identify opportunities for process improvements or automation, writing clean, maintainable code to eliminate manual tasks and resolve pain points.

You have a natural curiosity and a drive to explore issues thoroughly, always asking “Why?”.
You communicate clearly and concisely, whether through text, voice, or in-person.
You are a rational, evidence-based thinker who makes decisions thoughtfully.
You have a collaborative mindset and readily step in to support teammates when they need assistance.

Experience writing clean, maintainable code.
Experience working with databases and writing optimized queries.
Experience administering Debian GNU/Linux hosts.
Experience working with containerized services.
Experience working with cloud resources on the common cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Serious bonus points if you:
Experience managing hosts with Puppet.
Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience developing with Ruby or GoLang.
Experience managing AWS resources with CloudFormation.
