DUTIES: Provide technical leadership within a team responsible for developing and testing RESTful web service APIs; deploy microservices using Docker; test message queues, including RabbitMQ; verify data stored in SQL and NoSQL databases; build and deploy applications to Google Cloud Platform; automate the build and release process for application code using Jenkins for CI/CD; store and retrieve code in GitHub; write automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Ruby; conduct post-incident management and triage, and implement preventative measures; execute performance testing; design and execute test environments for Quality Assurance Engineers; test products and software to ensure quality and a successful rollout; develop test strategies and design quality assurance practices; identify, reproduce, and document defects, bugs, or problems; maintain technical quality assurance and control systems and activities; identify and resolve problems and defects, and initiate investigation processes; utilize clearly defined standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products; assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data; integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities; act as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment; and guide and mentor junior level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience testing RESTful web service APIs; of which three (3) years include deploying microservices using Docker; testing message queues, including RabbitMQ or Kafka; verifying data stored in SQL databases; building and deploying applications to Google Cloud Platform or AWS; automating the build and release process using Jenkins; storing and retrieving code in GitHub; writing automation scripts using Bash and Python; of which one (1) year includes validating application data stored in NoSQL databases; conducting post-incident management and triage; and executing performance testing.

Base Pay: $136,490.00

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
