What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for an experienced Engineer II - QA to take full ownership of quality assurance for our CLI and SDK applications. As the projects sole QA, you’ll ensure high product standards across various environments. This role requires expertise in both automation and manual testing, proficiency with CI/CD tools, and the ability to investigate and debug customer issues independently.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end Testing & Debugging: Lead end-to-end (E2E) testing for CLI and SDK applications, including sanity, regression, smoke, and integration testing across diverse OS environments (Linux, macOS, Windows). Act as the first point of contact for debugging and investigating customer-reported issues, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely fixes.
- Automation & CI/CD Integration: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for CLI and SDK applications, integrating these into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GoCD and Jenkins. Continuously improve and optimize automation coverage and efficiency.
- Pipeline Management & Reporting: Manage test pipelines for various test stages (sanity, smoke, integration, E2E), ensuring comprehensive and efficient coverage at each phase. Generate detailed test reports, documenting results and metrics for internal review.
- Documentation & Process Enhancement: Maintain documentation for test cases, automated scripts, and testing processes. Identify and implement test methodologies and process improvements to ensure quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with QA for CLI applications and SDKs, including end-to-end, manual, and automated testing across platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GoCD, Jenkins).
- Strong understanding of test pipeline management and various test types (sanity, smoke, integration, E2E).
- Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle customer-reported issues independently.
- Experience generating and analyzing detailed test reports and documentation.
- Strong communication skills for clear documentation and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience testing SDKs in multiple languages and environments.
- Ability to work independently, managing all aspects of QA for a project from start to finish.
- Experience in any bug reporting tool such as JIRA
- Must have knowledge of JSON and REST
- Strong knowledge of the Selenium Webdriver, Java, Javascript & Typescript
- Experience in Agile/Scrum
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Self-Directed - Ability to detect and solve problems
- Self-motivated - Ability to work independently
