The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Automotive is seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to join the EVBS Finance team. This role will be responsible for financial activities pertaining to Cox’s EV Battery Solutions and Manheim businesses. The position will include reporting & planning activities, business case development, and various ad hoc analyses. This is a highly collaborative role requiring partnership with cross functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
A focus on continuous improvement and solid understanding of financial modeling, financial statements, variance analysis, and reporting are key success factors to this role. The ideal candidate will leverage strong business acumen to provide strategic insights and support. The Senior Financial Analyst will be able to adapt to changing business needs and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem solving. This role supports a highly visible team that works together in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and the ideal candidate must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Analyze financial performance against budget, prior year, and competitors
Develop financial models and business cases to support business leaders with key business decisions
Assist with the development of management presentations for an executive-level audience resulting from financial analysis and business case analysis
Have an ability to analyze large amounts of data and then repackage, simplify, and determine key takeaways from the results
Evaluate business performance by developing reporting tools to ensure the company achieves desired results from key business decisions and initiatives
Create reports and dashboards by leveraging BI tools (Power BI / Tableau)
Assist with the planning, coordination and development of annual P&L budgets, monthly forecasts and long-range plans.
Complete special projects and prepare ad hoc analysis and reports as needed
Provide finance support for various operational functions
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in Finance/Accounting with 4+ years of business experience, with a strong focus in financial planning, analysis and case modeling. A candidate may also have a Masters Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 1 year of experience. Non-degreed candidates will have 8+ years of experience.
Outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
Strong communication skills. Ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner and explain financials to various audiences.
Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong bias for action.
Advanced Excel skills (including financial functions, formulas, shortcuts, pivot tables, lookups, charting/graphing) and command of PowerPoint (design, formatting, charting/graphing).
Highly-organized with high sense of ownership and excellent follow-through.
Ability to operate and work across functional groups in a matrixed organization.
Self-starter with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple changing priorities, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Experience with OneStream is a strong plus.
