Position Summary
As a Manager in the Specialty Contract Management group, you will help grow the financial performance of our specialty business by reporting and forecasting financials for Specialty drug pricing guarantee management, margin management as well as client contract compliance. In this role you will also be responsible to consult with other areas in the company and act as a subject matter expert in areas related to Specialty, as well as working with the Network team, Account Team, Underwriting, Legal, New Product team and others.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Manage a team responsible for working with data engineering to generate data via a monthly process on specialty guarantee clients’ financials
· Review client performance results, drug mix and utilization to identify opportunities to mitigate financial risk to the organization.
· Review contract terms, coupled with financial results to provide recommendations to legal, underwriting and the account teams for more favorable contract terms.
· Collaborate with underwriting, finance and accounting partners to understand and improve gaps and overlaps in processes and gain further understanding of the multiple components and factors that impact a client’s financial performance.
· Perform lookback analysis to review underwriting assumptions to actual results in an effort to provide future recommendations to senior leadership.
· Manage client performance through MAC and brand price changes to mitigate margin loss or to support other company pricing initiatives.
The successful candidate will have analytical, programming, and interpersonal skills, be able to manage both long and short-term projects and assignments effectively, and work collaboratively in inter-departmental settings to accomplish tasks and goals. You will have the opportunity to develop reporting packages and presentations to management, create best-practices, and draw conclusions from the information to provide input to critical business decisions. Key interactions are with Underwriting, Networks, Sales/Account Management, Finance, Accounting, Audit and Legal.
Required Qualifications
· 5+ years financial acumen and/or data analytics experience
· 2+ years of SQL/Google Cloud Big Query
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of health insurance, managed care, or pharmaceutical industry preferred
· 4+ years of experience managing multiple projects and delivering timely results
· 2+ PBM experience, preferably in drug pricing and analytics
Education
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
