Position Summary
In this role you will lead a team and oversee the day-today functions of Medicare Supplement Controllership, including (but not limited to) managing the financial close process, financial reporting and responsibility over controls.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- GAAP accounting and financial operations
- Financial close processes
- Management of personnel
- Sarbanes Oxley/Internal controls
- Expert level in using Microsoft Excel
- Actuarial concepts, reserving etc.
Skill In:
- Critical Thinking/problem solving
- Working with deadlines/under stress
- Technical/advanced accounting concepts
- “risk based” approach to responsibilities
Ability To:
- Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Work cross functionally with business
- Work cross functionally with actuarial
- Engage at the appropriate level with regulators, internal/external audit partners, other business partners
- Provide regular and predictable attendance
- Take on any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- LDTI accounting
- Oracle/Hyperion/Anaplan finance systems
- Medicare (both business and finance), and/or Medicare supplement (both business and finance)
Skill in:
- Data mining
- SQL Sever
- SAS
- Microsoft Access
Ability To:
- Engage with senior leadership both at the business and corporate level
Education: Bachelor degree
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $165,954.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
