We are customer-facing. Being a Platform Engineer at Deepnote is not just about diving into the rabbit hole of Terraform configurations. Sales teams often need our support on customer calls, where we engage with technical audiences from client companies.

🧑‍💻 What Youll Do

Maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure footprint.
Own and drive our SaaS architecture, making and executing key decisions.
Ensure we anticipate infrastructure problems before they arise.
Elevate our Infrastructure as Code and CICD practices with tools like Terraform and CircleCI.
Build reusable components for other engineering teams to interface with infrastructure.
Help our community of data scientists and developers succeed with Deepnote.

👤 About you

You have 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Cloud Engineer, ideally within the SaaS space.
You’re hands-on with AWS, particularly with services like RDS, EKS, and cloud security. You’re also proficient in Docker and containerization.
You’ve worked with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform (or similar tools like CloudFormation), and you have experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
You’re pragmatic and excel in environments where efficiency is key. You approach complex problems with clarity and practicality, always eager to learn and adapt.
You thrive in a collaborative environment but can also take full ownership of projects, driving them forward independently and reliably. You communicate technical concepts clearly and work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

➕ Bonus Points

Proficiency with GCP and/or Azure in addition to AWS.
Experience with full-stack development (React, TypeScript, Node.js).
Familiarity with Python and data-related libraries.
A passion for notebooks!
