Platform Services Operations Engineer (infrastructure Security Engineer)
Location: This job is available to work in one of our hub locations: Tampa, FL; Denver, CO; DC metro area, CA (Bay area), Austin, TX and will be hybrid
Shift: 4 x10s Sun-Wed 8am-7pm est
Reporting to the Manager, Platform Operations this role will be responsible for the efficient troubleshooting of service solutions, prompt triage of alerts and service requests, and the utilization of runbooks to ensure the smooth operation of Firewall and MXDR solutions. Your role will encompass responding to alerting from monitoring platforms, performing administrative support for various systems, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders, and communicating effectively with customers.

Using cybersecurity best practices, you will monitor and secure complex customer environments utilizing industry leading technology such as SIEM, Hyper-automation, and more.
In this role, you’ll get to:
Infrastructure and Security Administration:
- Implement, and manage infrastructure solutions with a focus on security technologies, including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Vulnerability Management.
- Maintain and optimize multi-tenant environments for MSSP and service desk operations, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Develop and refine runbooks to enhance response and operational efficiency.
Incident and Issue Resolution:
- Triage escalated service requests and infrastructure incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting for infrastructure and security-related issues.
- Collaborate with Platform SME’s for the resolution of complex technical challenges and long-term infrastructure improvements.
- Guide and mentor Administrators in diagnosing and resolving recurring infrastructure issues, reducing escalation frequency.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business and customer requirements.
- Provide detailed work notes and technical summaries for both internal use and customer-facing communication.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 5-7 years of experience that should include time at a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) or service desk environments, supporting diverse customers across various industries.
- Linux+, Network+, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Crowdstrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Tenable certifications preferred.
- Strong expertise in managing and optimizing infrastructure solutions for EDR, Vulnerability Management, and SIEM platforms.
- Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting security-focused network and endpoint technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and adaptation to emerging technologies and threats.
ITAR Compliance

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $120,000 to $150,000 dollars + stock options + benefits. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
