Overview

You will report directly to the US Head of Public Affairs which is part of a broader global team. The Deutsche Bank Public Affairs team serves as a conduit between the Bank and the US federal government, trade associations and other relevant thought leaders. In the role as a vice president of US Public affairs, you will assist to develop and execute the Deutsche Bank public affairs strategy through direct Capitol Hill advocacy, relation building within trade associations and the think-tank community. You will draw on your knowledge of the Bank’s priorities, the legislative/ regulatory process and political experience to achieve your goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and develop collaborate bi-partisan relationships on Capitol Hill and the Administration

  • Identify and understand risk, reward and opportunities in legislative and regulatory areas impacting Deutsche Bank

  • Serve as honest broker between Deutsche Bank and policymakers to ensure the Deutsche Bank has an active voice

  • Identify and cultivate potential opportunities for Deutsche Bank experts to participate within DC thought leadership environment

  • Deliver policy and political analysis for key internal stakeholders and key clients

How You’ll Lead

  • Work closely with the US Head of Public Affairs

  • External relationships with diverse audiences and groups

  • Key internal audiences and business leaders

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree preferred

  • Extensive experience on Capitol Hill/public policy institution

  • Detailed understanding of the US financial markets and its regulatory structure

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

  • Curious personality with interest to learn new topics and connect issues

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $100,000.00 to $145,500.00. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
