The Collections Coordinator will support the efforts of the Collections team in organizing, inventorying, cataloging, and preserving the Walt Disney Archives dimensional collection.
Responsibilities include:
- Inventory, organize, and process assets.
- Rehouse and label physical assets.
- Recordkeeping, including updating and creating database records on spreadsheets and in a collections management system.
- Aid in preparing assets for exhibitions, including completing condition reports and object preparation.
- Assist in installing and deinstalling internal and external displays and exhibitions.
- Other tasks and projects to be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collections database management software.
- Experience with object handling.
- Ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and reach as the job requires.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or background working in a collections or archives for 1+ years.
